Instead of mass-manufacturing identical units from synthetic composite boards, each wooden tray in our collection is individually shaped, hand-planed, and joined using natural hardwoods such as European white oak, natural maple, rich walnut, and solid ash.

Our Making Process

Crafting a wooden tray by hand requires patience and respect for the natural medium of timber:

• Timber Selection: We select solid hardwood boards with interesting natural grain character, inspecting each piece for stability and strength.
• Joinery & Shaping: Boards are dimensioned and joined with sturdy mitered or reinforced corner joints. Handles are hand-routed and smoothed for comfortable grip.
• Hand Sanding: Surfaces and edges are sanded progressively through multiple grits to create a smooth, tactile finish that is gentle to the touch.
• Food-Safe Natural Finish: Every tray is finished with pure food-grade mineral oils and natural beeswax, enhancing the timber's organic color without toxic synthetic varnishes.
